Classical Christian Education (CCE) is education as it was practiced prior to the progressive movement early in the 20th century when the focus switched to job training. Instead, CCE sharpens student’s reasoning, language and rhetorical skills with a Christian vision for all truth and knowledge. Classical education was created by the Greeks to train citizens to self govern and live in freedom. Later, it was Christianized to become “Classical Christian”. In the medieval era, “scholastics” refined the form into what inspires classical Christian education today. Rather than emphasizing “subjects,” it emphasizes seven “liberal arts,” which liberate the mind to be less subject to controlling influences. The goal is to cultivate wisdom in light of Christ’s creation and kingdom.

About us.....
In 2017 I felt that it was time to simplify my life and open a small one room preschool attached to my home. Little did I know that the Lord had other plans for my little Learning Tree Academy. Over the last 4 years we have continued to grow and what once served 8 three and four year olds now serves 88 children from 2 to 10 years old. This Fall, our elementary school program will become Providence Classical Christian School.  I have always had a heart for children and a sense of responsibility to love them on behalf of Jesus. Scripture says in Matthew 25:40 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine you did for me'. Our children are precious and vulnerable to the attacks of our world. Our responsibility and our privilege is to train them up so that they would not be overcome by the world. My desire is to partner alongside our parents so that our children will recognize God's beauty in their world, become strong thinkers and generous contributors with their time, talents and gifts. God commands us to be a light in our world, that happens when we equip our next generation with knowledge, understanding, wisdom and purpose. I am proud of our program and what the Lord has grown out of the tiny seed planted just a few years ago.
